The first of these is in the minute books of the City Council in 1911 (now in the City Council Fund archive Bogotá) and the second act, for a more detailed version of the first, was published in the Register Municipal and notarized in the Second Notary Notary of Bogota for the second of the day (today in the Notary Fund of the General Archive of the Nation).

According to findings of fact, the idea of a centuries-old urn came from a decision of the National Centennial Commission "concerning the placement of a metal box of important papers that were on the first anniversary festivities" (Minutes of the City Clerk .) However, it was the Bogota City Council finally adopt the idea at the meeting of June 27, 1910 and then, on October 31, 1911, in the midst of a solemn celebration, seal the box with the condition that such was only open one hundred years later.

The ceremony took place during a special meeting of Council on October 31, 1911 at eight o'clock in the evening, as part of their latest activities, before the entry in regedit the new City Council. The session was attended by some of the aldermen, the Mayor, the Representative, the Director of Health and Hygiene and Public Works, City Treasurer and the notary second circuit Pinzón Escobar July. According to the minutes of the book of the council, "being already prepared all documents, books, pamphlets, photographs" to be placed in the coffin, they proceeded to sign the document of the session on a sheet of parchment in the presence of Notary Segundo.
